But thanks for the advice - I've deleted GBs of redundant Program Files and Windows.old folders. However, no matter what I do, it tells me that I need permission from "myusername" or sometimes it tells me I need "administrator" permission to change the file. Can anyone suggest a solution? That will solve a lot of the issues people are still mentioning.

The fix for that is to rename the file and reboot then delete your newly named files. Unfortunately, nothing is working for me. It seemed to me people missed it somehow!
