I did test the cd drive with something it it and still was not working plus i have already posted that there was an ethernet issue as well. There is no way to get Win95r2 legimiately other than to buy a computer with it (and then you can only use it on that one computer...) Update: It appears it Option 2) Delete the device, and let Windows notice it on the reboot, and install the drivers then. I create a directory on the local hard disk, C:\Novell\Ins to copy the install files to, but there is nothing sacred about this. See if that finds the CD drive. I can play cd's np, but blank cd's are not recognized.
I think my problem is more envolved. I did have access to the CD Player prior to installing it's 48x cd-rom dive installation disk. Insert this disk in drive A:,Type a:\di and press Enter.It enables computers to use a CD-ROM from DOS, which is unnecessary these days, unless you're actually using DOS. Keep it!
