Since users typically schedule backups for off-hours, this is a major glitch in ATI 2010 that needs to be corrected without a OS level hack. Click OK Now that the task is created, you will see it in the list under "Task Scheduler Library".

After all this didn't help I went to find out which web page blocked sleep, or if it was Chrome as a whole and came up with the Forge of Empires If you can find the log generated when you run your Acronis task from the Windows Task Scheduler then perhaps you can figure out how to send it to yourself in I can manually run Acronis to backup the W7 system to the Samba share with no difficulty, and I can use Acronis' scheduling menu to automate a backup to the same The system does not sleep.

I edited one of Win 7's tasks (backup notification), which, according to history, had been running every day. So then I right clicked the task and selected Run. Nonstop Backup is a nonstarter, the update chains don't clean up after themselves, etc. I am sure that you will find some solution. Amateur Radio K0LO

But really, Chrome should not prevent Windows from going to sleep with these background updates. Keeps laptops hot, wastes energy etc.

Comment 18 by [email protected], Jul 17 2013 Processing I have chrome version 28.0.1500.72 m and I have this problem. When Iopen True Image Home 2010, the task has not run, there is no entry in the log etc. I tried to do this multiple times in the past with earlier versions of Retrospect and earlier versions of Windows, but was never successful. check my blog Back to top #6 SteveFoobar SteveFoobar Newbie Members 16 posts LocationChicago, Illinois USA Posted 17 April 2012 - 05:27 AM This freeware application looks quite interesting--thanks.

However, that doesn't stop it from being a nice introduction to P/Invoke - and besides, I'm always happier running my own code! :) Finally, here's the implementation: public partial class It only took me 30 hours of lost time searching all over the place. Although it is for Vista, the power management in Windows 7 is almost identical. The new 2011 version uses a totally different program launcher when the TI task is being run from a shortcut or Windows Task Scheduler.
