In fact, I just got to work this A.M., and my wife called, said she heard a noise on my computer, went into my office and said there was a dialogue Ctrl / Alt / Delete and bring up processes.Clear the no disk pop up that's been constantly popping up - they usually come up 3 at a time --- clear them I'm having the same problem, I have a Windows XP. weblink
Maybe the I pod is looking for a tune on the external drive and someone pulled it out and the software doesn't know any better. I have tried everything I have read, and the only thing that works was my own idea, of manually safely removing the drive the printer creates each time I plug in I was attempting to view a mov (lumix camera file) after reading your string I simply re-installed the quicktime programme that came with the camera and bingo no more error dumps. Both of these printers were installed on another pc with XP and no problems unless and clicked on the drive in the printer...drive empty message, of course.
